Recap by phillip woo

Star Of Glory was too good after darting to the lead 350m out tracking the slow pace of Shiny Two on the fence for a first win at his 12th start. It was clearly his best run to date with a return to blinkers. Diamond Star came from towards the rear and near the outside to grab second 100m out. He has been racing consistently well all season long. Punted late Go Go Sixteen ran on steadily to fill a placing after biding his time five back on the fence. He has remained competitive in his past three starts carrying big weights after a win. El Valiente came from last and widest out to fill the frame. He's struggled on the turf in the past but relished the return to Class Five. Firming favourite Flying Mighty was unlucky not to have finished closer after getting held up for a run for most the straight following a patient ride one from the rear. Gorgeous Inheritor ran on without menacing after a one-off trip in midfield. He needs a faster pace. Asian One came up one-paced over the final 150m after working hard three deep early on to sit prominent in the run. He had an excuse.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (741) - SHOUSON HILL HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1600Meters

A A AGILITY was crowded for room on jumping between JOY MASTER and ASIAN ONE which shifted out.

FLYING MIGHTY shifted out on jumping and bumped the hindquarters of MEDIC ELITE.

After this, both FLYING MIGHTY and MEDIC ELITE were steadied to obtain cover.

From the outside barrier, EL VALIENTE was steadied shortly after the start to obtain cover.

Passing the 1500 Metres, JOY MASTER and DIAMOND STAR bumped.

ASIAN ONE travelled keenly approaching and passing the 1300 Metres when being steadied to obtain cover.

After the 1100 Metres, LITTLE PLAYER got its head on the side and lay out and then made the turn near the 900 Metres awkwardly.

After this, LITTLE PLAYER continued to lay out.

A veterinary inspection of LITTLE PLAYER immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.

Making the turn near the 900 Metres, GORGEOUS INHERITOR shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of MULTIPLE STAR which became unbalanced.

FLYING MIGHTY was held up for clear running from near the 300 Metres until approaching the 150 Metres.

For the majority of the race, MULTIPLE STAR travelled wide and without cover.

The performance of MR ALDAN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, MR ALDAN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

After the race, M Chadwick stated that SHINY TWO, which was wearing blinkers for the first time today, travelled very keenly in the early and middle stages.

He said after STAR OF GLORY shifted across to race outside SHINY TWO after the 1200 Metres, SHINY TWO would not relax and he was unable to prevent the horse from opening up a significant margin over the remainder of the field.

He said because of the manner in which SHINY TWO had travelled in the early and middle stages, the horse came under pressure in the early part of the Straight and weakened out of the race noticeably over the latter stages.

A veterinary inspection of SHINY TWO immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

The performance of SHINY TWO, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, SHINY TWO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

FLYING MIGHTY, STAR OF GLORY and DIAMOND STAR were sent for sampling.
