Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (776) - LEI YUE MUN PARK HANDICAP - Class 3 - 2000Meters
TOTAL POWER was withdrawn on 24.6.22 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore).
Before being allowed to race again, TOTAL POWER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
NATURAL STORM began only fairly.
COPARTNER ELITES lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and then became unbalanced as a result of being bumped by ENTRUSTED which shifted in.
CLASSIC ARCHI shifted in at the start and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ENZEMBLE.
After this, CLASSIC ARCHI was steadied to obtain cover.
After the 1800 Metres, ENZEMBLE was momentarily eased away from the heels of PEGASUS GENERAL (H Bentley) which shifted in when not fully clear.
H Bentley was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.
Near the 1400 Metres, INTREPID WINNER was taken wide and without cover by COPARTNER ELITES which shifted to the outside of SUPERBELLA.
After this, INTREPID WINNER was steadied to obtain cover behind COPARTNER ELITES.
ROBOT WARRIOR was badly held up for clear running from approaching the 300 Metres until near the 100 Metres at which time the horse was shifted to the outside of ODE TO JOY to obtain clear running.
ROBOT WARRIOR then shifted out and bumped PEGASUS GENERAL near the 75 Metres.
Passing the 200 Metres, ENTRUSTED and KING'S CAPITAL bumped as ENTRUSTED was shifted to the outside of ENZEMBLE.
ENTRUSTED then raced in restricted room between KING'S CAPITAL and ENZEMBLE for a short distance.
After the race, M Chadwick stated that at no stage of today's race did NATURAL STORM travel well and after being placed under heavy pressure prior to the Home Turn did not finish the race off.
A veterinary inspection of NATURAL STORM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

SUPERBELLA and COPARTNER ELITES were sent for sampling.

Superbella just held off firming favourite Copartner Elites after hitting the front 150m out following a rails run in midfield for a second course-and-distance win this season. He likely things harder in Class Two now. Copartner Elites rallied nicely down the outsider to draw level around the 100m after making his run four back on the fence but found the winner too strong in the end. He's consistent and his day will come. Intrepid Winner got going late to finish a distant third after making his run five back and one off the fence. Like the latter, he keeps knocking on the door without winning. Hit The Shot stayed on much better after a one-off run better than midfield. It was his best run to date from seven starts and may be one to keep safe next season. Ode To Joy gave a better sight dictating the run from a wide draw with a step up in distance. Robot Warrior kept on one-paced after a prominent run on the fence. He wasn't good enough stepping into Class Three for the first time. Enzemble weakened 150m out chasing the speed one-off without cover in third. He's at his best when getting his own way in front.
