Perfect Peach quickened nicely to overhaul favourite Compassion Spirit in the final few strides from midfield for a maiden win at his ninth start. He relished a rise in trip. Compassion Spirit was just touched off late after hitting the front near the 200m after getting all favours in the box-seat. He'll be winning shortly if he remains in the grade. Lifeline Vision ran on steadily from behind midfield to fill a placing. He can produce an odd good run now and then but is well rated. Super Highway kept on one-paced after a one-out, one-back run. He's close to a bottom. Spicy Skewer stayed on all right after a midfield run on the fence. He does appear from his past two runs to be heading in the right direction now. Splendid Living was on his tippy toes 100m out after finding the front 1,200m out. It wasn't a bad run first start after fetlock surgery in March. Copartner Era ran on without menacing from towards the rear. He appeared to need the run and prefers a longer trip. Punted late Smiling Collector had nothing left in the tank 100m out after rolling forward from a wide gate to prompt the pace near the 1,000m.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (58) - JINAN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters

OVER THE MOON was crowded for room on jumping between MAXIMIZE HEART and LIFELINE VISION which shifted out.

From wide barriers, LEATHER VANGUARD, ROYAL AGILITY and RING BELLS were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.

After travelling a short distance, PERFECT PEACH was bumped by SPICY SKEWER which began awkwardly and shifted out.

After being bumped, PERFECT PEACH shifted out, resulting in COPARTNER ERA being crowded for room inside SPLENDID LIVING.

Approaching the 1200 Metres, OVER THE MOON commenced to travel keenly and was awkwardly placed behind LIFELINE VISION.

OVER THE MOON then became unbalanced when being checked away from the heels of GRACYLOVE near the 1100 Metres.

In this incident, OVER THE MOON shifted out and inconvenienced LEATHER VANGUARD.

After the 1000 Metres, SPLENDID LIVING got its head on the side and lay in when being steadied to obtain cover behind SMILING COLLECTOR.

Also after the 1000 Metres, ROYAL AGILITY was left racing wide and without cover and was steadied further back in the field to obtain cover behind LEATHER VANGUARD.

Near the 650 Metres, OVER THE MOON commenced to travel keenly and was steadied away from the heels of GRACYLOVE.

Then approaching the 600 Metres, GRACYLOVE shifted out away from the heels of MAXIMIZE HEART after racing very close to the heels of that horse.

At the entrance to the Straight, SUPER HIGHWAY was bumped by COMPASSION SPIRIT which attempted to shift out from behind SPLENDID LIVING.

When unable to shift to the outside of SPLENDID LIVING, COMPASSION SPIRIT was shifted to the inside of that horse to obtain clear running passing the 400 Metres.

Passing the 350 Metres, SPICY SKEWER was shifted in away from the heels of SUPER HIGHWAY.

PERFECT PEACH shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages.

A veterinary inspection of LEATHER VANGUARD, SMILING COLLECTOR, ROYAL AGILITY and MAXIMIZE HEART immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

PERFECT PEACH and COMPASSION SPIRIT were sent for sampling.
