Racing Incident Report
Race One: (493) - PENG CHAU HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1800Meters
Whilst in the holding stalls, JUBILATION had its both hind plates refitted.
JUBILATION was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
SMILING FACE was slow to begin.
On jumping, CABLE SPEED was bumped by JUBILATION which shifted out.
After travelling a short distance, CABLE SPEED was awkwardly placed close to the heels of JUBILATION when racing tight to the inside of LUCKY MISSILE.
LOYAL AMBITION lost its left front plate at the start.
From wide barriers, OWNERS' STAR and FORTUNE TRIPLE were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From the outside barrier, SMART COUSIN was also shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection of SMART COUSIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
CABLE SPEED and DRAGON PRIDE were sent for sampling.

Post-time favourite Cable Speed tracked the speed from gate four and took control 150m out to score his first Hong Kong win at his 20th local start. He has been racing well and could chalk up another victory soon. Dragon Pride got up late to edge early favourite Loyal Ambition for second after taking until the 900m to find cover in midfield from barrier nine. He should break through shortly if he remains in the grade. Loyal Ambition kept plugging away late to hold down a placing after getting his own way in front from gate two. He keeps promising without delivering on a win line. Owners' Star dashed late to snatch fourth after a patient ride two from the rear. It was another honest effort by the eight-year-old galloper. Jubilation came up one paced when push came to shove after travelling effectively one out, one back. It was a better effort, but he did have every chance. Fortune Triple came from near last and widest 250m out to finish next best. He is crying out for 2,200m. Lucky Missile ran on without menacing after his run one off the fence behind midfield. He is still looking for a bottom.
