Recap by phillip woo

Beat Hollow just held off Yoo Yoo Knight by a lip for the win after rushing to the lead 1,280m out from gate four for a career-best performance from 11 starts. He took advantage of a better draw and a move to a seven-pound claimer. Outsider Yoo Yoo Knight made it a close on the wire after a prominent run one off the fence. It was clearly his best run from nine starts and second in the class. Compulsory made good ground late near the inside to take third without threatening the top two after turning the final bend at the back of the field. He proved a closing fourth first-up this term was not a fluke. Apex Top came up one paced after getting all favours in the box seat. It was another honest performance. Noble One made some ground from towards rear. He couldn't cope carrying a big weight over a longer trip despite a drop in class. Just Great Two came up one paced after a handy run wide without cover early on from gate 11. Favourite Casa Legend ran on without threatening from the rear. One Heart One will sleep well after a torrid run.

Racing Incident Report

Race One : (138) - L'OREAL PARIS HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Meters

Horse No 1 DIAMOND FOREVER (H194) A Atzeni In the middle stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 1100 Metres was steadied away from YOO YOO KNIGHT.

Horse No 2 GOOD VIEW GLORY (H154) A Hamelin A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 3 NOBLE ONE (G278) A Badel Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start was crowded.

Horse No 4 SUPER CONTENTED (H251) E C W Wong Crowded on jumping and became unbalanced.

When questioned, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that approaching the 1100 Metres his mount lay in and away from GOOD VIEW GLORY and as a result made slight contact with the running rail.

He said after this contact GOOD VIEW GLORY then over-reacted and shifted in further, making heavy contact with the running rail for some distance, becoming badly unbalanced and losing significant ground.

Trainer C Fownes was advised that the racing manners of SUPER CONTENTED were considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, SUPER CONTENTED will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial in amongst other runners and to be ridden by a senior rider.

He said he may experiment with the gear on the horse before the barrier trial.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 5 CASA LEGEND (G126) Z Purton From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

For some distance passing the 1200 Metres raced keenly and was steadied away from GOOD VIEW GLORY.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
