Recap by phillip woo

Winning Data shot clear 60m out with a ducking-and-weaving run after a rails run from midfield for a maiden win at his sixth start. He lived up to an improved effort refitted in blinkers last start at the Valley and can win again. Ariel did everything right but get the win after poking his head briefly in front 100m out travelling one-off outside the winner. He's honest as the day is long without winning. Champion Instinct dashed well to fill a placing from behind midfield. He's building towards a win in his past two starts. Perfect Peach stayed on well for fourth after a wide without cover trip settling worse than midfield. It was a better effort on return to his favourite 1,400m. Specked late Mr Aladdin kept on okay after a prominent run on the fence. It was a better effort on turf at his second career start. Dream Pursuer ran on reasonably well after a wide with cover run travelling behind midfield from gate 14. He should go close to winning from a proper draw. Super Wise Dragon ran on without threatening from towards the rear.
