Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Raging Blizzard took control 100m out after a wide without cover run better than midfield from gate 11 to live up to a debut second in July and ring up win number 1,500 for trainer John Size. He clearly has more points in hand. Strathpeffer ran on nicely to grab second 50m out after a prominent run on the fence. He relished the step back in distance after failing to figure in his opening two 1,400m runs this term. Well-backed late Gorgeous Win grudgingly gave way after dictating the pace. It was an encouraging debut effort. Prince Chiswick came up one paced after chasing the leader pair one off the fence. He's given a decent sight in both starts this term. Fighting Machine ran on nicely to after a wide with cover trip from behind midfield. It was a good debut, and he should come on for the effort. Charmander ran on late without threatening after making his run one from the rear. It was a better effort, but he's destined for a downgrade.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three : (178) - BOC LIFE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 HIGH RISE SOLDIER (C511) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly and despite being ridden along in the early stages was unable to hold a forward position.

Horse No 3 DIVINE SHINING (G373) K C Leung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Continued to race keenly in the middle stages.

Horse No 4 RAGING BLIZZARD (H368) Z Purton Left racing wide and without cover from the 900 Metres.

Horse No 5 AWESOME TREASURE (E435) L Hewitson A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from the left nostril.

Horse No 7 FIGHTING MACHINE (J015) A Atzeni Lay out over the final 100 Metres.

Horse No 8 GORGEOUS WIN (J008) K Teetan When questioned regarding his riding in the middle stages and the reason his mount improved to the lead, K Teetan stated that after taking up a forward position outside AWESOME TREASURE, when his mount would not settle and raced keenly, he allowed GORGEOUS WIN to stride forward and race in the lead so that he did not have to continue to restrain it through the middle stages of the event.
