Race Six : (393) - CINERARIA HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 FLYING HIGH (E204) H Bowman Near the 250 Metres was steadied when crowded between SUPER COMMANDER which shifted out when giving ground and STELLAR EXPRESS (J McDonald) which shifted in.
J McDonald was reprimanded.
Horse No 3 CALIFORNIA DEEPLY (G451) H Bentley After travelling a short distance was steadied away from PLEASANT ENDEAVOR which shifted in.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 STELLAR EXPRESS (J186) J McDonald Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 CALIFORNIA TOUCH (J051) B Avdulla Jumped awkwardly and then was crowded shortly after the start between FORTUNE WHISKEY which shifted out and PRINCE OF PORTY which was taken in by SUPER COMMANDER.
Horse No 6 FORTUNE WHISKEY (J153) M L Yeung Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded by PLEASANT ENDEAVOR which shifted out before being corrected by its rider Apprentice E C W Wong.
Horse No 7 VICTORY MOMENTS (H142) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly and was bumped.
Horse No 8 CHEVAL VALIANT (E336) A Atzeni After the race, A Atzeni stated that whilst his mount was able to lead, CHEVAL VALIANT received some pressure in front and as a consequence did not finish the race off strongly although he was not unsatisfied with the horse's performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 MA COMET (H391) Z Purton Jumped only fairly.
Near the 800 Metres was eased to avoid the heels of FLYING HIGH (H Bowman) which shifted out.
H Bowman was advised to exercise more care.
Near the 250 Metres was shifted to the inside of BABY CRYSTAL to improve and then lay in before being corrected by its rider Z Purton.
Horse No 10 PRINCE OF PORTY (H009) A Badel Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded by SUPER COMMANDER.
Near the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a tight run between CHEVAL VALIANT and FLYING HIGH.
Horse No 12 BABY CRYSTAL (H081) Y L Chung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 RUBYLOT (H412) K Teetan Was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Baby Crystal kept finding after hitting the front 300m out positioned nicely chasing the leaders Cheval Valiant and Super Commander from gate 12 for a second win from 12 starts. Stellar Express ran on nicely for second settling midfield on the grandstand side. It was solid performance on his local debut. Rubylot came from last at one stage on the far side to fill a placing. It was an eye-catching up in grade after a last start win. Pleasant Endeavor stayed on nicely for fourth after making his run from behind midfield near the grandstand side. He was able to back up a last start win. Prince Of Porty performed well to finish next best despite getting held up for a run from the 200m to 100m following a patient ride four from the rear. He should have finished closer. Ma Comet ran on steadily without threatening from behind midfield. It was a positive debut effort. Victory Moments made headway late from towards the rear. He needed the outing off a 295-day break. Flying High came up one paced after getting squished between runners 250m out travelling better than midfield.
