Racing Incident Report
Race Two : (408) - FAT CHOI HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 AFFIRM (H306) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 BEAT HOLLOW (G414) E C W Wong Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 KASI FARASI (B385) L Hewitson Bumped at the start.
Horse No 5 DIAMOND DIAMOND (H189) C L Chau Passing the 800 Metres struck the heels of KASI FARASI when that runner was being steadied and as a result blundered, became unbalanced and lost ground.
Briefly held up behind DRAGON DELIGHT making the Home Turn.
After the race, C L Chau reported that after striking heels passing the 800 Metres his mount was able to rebalance where it travelled satisfactorily thereafter.
He added that DIAMOND DIAMOND failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 MULAN (H145) A Hamelin Jumped only fairly.
Passing the 800 Metres was taken wider by DIAMOND DIAMOND and became unbalanced.
Near the 400 Metres was bumped by DIAMOND DIAMOND.
Horse No 7 SONIC BOOM (H144) Z Purton Jumped only fairly.
Bumped near the 100 Metres.
Horse No 8 NORDIC COMBINED (G015) A Badel From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 9 DRAGON DELIGHT (G395) K Teetan Bumped on jumping.
After the race, K Teetan could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 APEX TOP (D136) L Ferraris Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
After the race, L Ferraris stated that he felt that there was something amiss with his mount when it gave ground near the 200 Metres and therefore he desisted from riding it out to the finish of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.
Before being allowed to race again, APEX TOP will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 12 SMART BEAUTY (G477) Y L Chung Bumped on jumping.
Passing the 100 Metres was held up for clear running between TSUEN WAN GLORY and SONIC BOOM.
Horse No 13 TSUEN WAN GLORY (E403) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly and was bumped.
From the 400 Metres until approaching the 150 Metres was held up for clear running.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 14 COMPULSORY (E328) M L Yeung Near the 400 Metres was steadied and shifted to the inside of KASI FARASI to secure clear running.
Inside the 50 Metres was checked when it improved up on the heels of SONIC BOOM.

Tsuen Wan Glory got the better of Affirm in the dying stages after coming across heels for a clear run 150m out following a box-seat run for a second straight win. Affirm did everything right but get the win after moving to the lead 120m out following apace-stalking run. He did run well. Smart Beauty ran on nicely near the inside for third after a patient ride one from the rear. He's holding his condition well after a win last start over the 1,600m. Favourite Beat Hollow grudgingly gave way after driving to the front 1,000m out from gate two. It was another honest performance after giving a good sight for a win. Master Of Luck ran on steadily to finish next best from midfield on the fence. He went okay for his new trainer. Sonic Boom ran on without threatening after biding his time three from the rear. It was a similar sort of result despite a downgrade. Compulsory made some headway late settling two from the rear. Diamond Diamond never figured after dipping and nearly coming down 700m out.
