Recap by phillip woo

Only U dashed well to just edge Unpresuming after making his run five back and one off the fence for a first local win at his fifth start. Punted late Unpresuming did everything right but get the win after hitting the front 50m out after a rails run from behind midfield. It was solid effort first-up this season following a nosebleed in July. Winning Gold charged home late down the outside to finish a close third after biding his time fourth last from gate 13. He had run on okay in one of first two starts before failing with an excuse last time out. Favourite Celtic Times fading late for fourth after poking his head in front 150m out following a prominent run. He lacks the will to win. Well-backed late All Riches gradually faded after dictating the run from gate five. He needed the outing off a 217-day break. Show Respect kept on one paced over the final 100m after a one-off trip from midfield. He should find his mark shortly in this grade. Amazing Run faded in the run to the wire after claiming a narrow lead 300m out following a pace-stalking run.
