Race Six : (432) - TVB TUNG WAH CHARITY SHOW HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 FAST BUCK (H126) B Avdulla Lay in near the 200 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 DIAMOND FLARE (H224) L Ferraris Kicked a rail whilst proceeding to the Start, examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the barriers and passed suitable to race.
Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after the start between HINOKAMI KAGURA and TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR which shifted out.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR (H430) C L Chau Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 6 SPEEDY SMARTIE (H108) Z Purton When giving ground passing the 200 Metres momentarily raced tight to the inside of FAST BUCK which lay in.
After the race, Z Purton stated that he was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a consequence did not finish the race off strongly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 STRIVE FOR GLORY (D186) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Horse No 8 HINOKAMI KAGURA (H384) H Bentley From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 COOL BLUE (H011) A Badel From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 10 AFFIRM (H306) K Teetan Jumped only fairly.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 BEAT HOLLOW (G414) Y L Chung After the race, Apprentice Y L Chung stated that with his mount up in class today, it was not suited by the fast early sectionals of the event.
Trainer Y S Tsui agreed with the views of Apprentice Chung and stated that he may look to riding BEAT HOLLOW in a more patient manner in its next race start.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of BEAT HOLLOW was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.
Before being allowed to race again, BEAT HOLLOW will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Fast Buck kept finding after rushing to the lead near the 100m after a wide with cover trip from midfield for a second win over the dirt 1,200m from his past three starts. Hinokami Kagura ran on nicely with two wider out to finish a close second after a patient ride third last from gate 11. The switch in surfaces nearly worked the oracle. Triumphant Warrior ran on well for third after making his run four from the rear. He handled the switch in surfaces after placing second in one of three on the turf. Miracles made headway late near the inside for fourth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He relished a return to the surface of a win two runs ago in Class Five. Favourite Speedy Smartie just held his ground after a prominent run wide without cover. He had an excuse. Cool Blue came from last to finish next best. He couldn't overcome gate 12 but is not reliable. Strive For Glory ran on without threatening after settling second last following a tardy start.
