Recap by phillip woo

Rubylot won going away after moving to the lead 120m out following a box seat run for a second win from 10 starts. He loves competing in Class Four and appreciated the step up in distance. Circuit Fiery ran on nicely for second after settling one off from just worse than midfield. He is a winner waiting to happen. Firming favourite Geneva grudgingly gave way after dictating the run from gate 12 with a step up to 1,400m. The three-year-old has run well for minor placings in his four starts. Forerunner ran on well near the outside to snatch fourth after making his run five back and three wide with cover from gate 13. Longshot Fast As Rocket made headway late near the inside to just miss a quartet spot after biding his time towards the rear following a slow start. It was a vastly improved effort on a wet track. Beauty Alliance came from near last to finish next best. It was a pleasing debut effort. Lucky Fionn weakened after a prominent run wide without cover early on. Family Fortune ran on without threatening after making his run five back and one off the fence.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four : (620) - FWD INSURANCE BOCOM HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters

Horse No 1 RUBYLOT (H412) J McDonald Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 2 DREAM PURSUER (G241) H Bowman After the race, H Bowman reported that his mount did not fully stretch out during the running of the event and whilst he did express some concern with its action, he added that this also may have been attributable to DREAM PURSUER not appreciating the ""Yielding" track conditions.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of DREAM PURSUER was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.

Before being allowed to race again, DREAM PURSUER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
